We always welcome
your inquiries and answer your questions personally as fully as possible. In
fact, we love to "talk boots" almost as much as we love to wear them! However,
several common questions are answered below. Feel free to write if we have
overlooked some information you need to help you with your new
GlamourBoots.
Q: What are your standard leather
and color options? Are other choices available?
A: We offer 17 leather and color choices, including 9
shades of smooth calf and 4 colors each of suede and genuine patent leather.
Please click here to see the choices. We never use
vinyls or man-made leathers in our boots. If it looks like leather, it Is
leather
including linings and soles. Upon request, we can often obtain
additional colors and textures. If you have a specific leather or color in
mind, please feel free to inquire about availability and pricing
Q: I want my boots to be crotch
high on me with 34 inch shafts. How much will this add to the cost?
A: We never charge extra for longer shaft lengths, all
the way up to 39 inches! Honestly, as beautiful as our leathers are, that is
not the most expensive component of the price. It is the skilled labor of
pattern-making, cutting, sewing, and lasting which drives the cost of custom
made boots.
Q: I have an idea for a pair of
boots. Can you make them for me?
A: We welcome questions about modifying our styles
very often the toe, heel, or decorative detailing of one pattern can be applied
to another. We will tell you if we can make the boots you wish, and how much
they will cost. |

Q: Is there a VAT charge for orders
within the European Union?
A: Yes... Being that the product shipped directly to you
from our European factory, a V.A.T. must apply and will be added automatically
to all orders shipped to addresses within the European Community. Thank you for
your understanding.
Q: You mention "pleine fleur"
leather. What is that?
A: Pleine fleur is French for full flower. It is
generally regarded as the finest grade of garment leather available in the
world for its full grain appearance, evenness of finish and weight, and
suppleness of feel. Pleine fleur calfskin has been used historically by the
finest fashion houses in the world such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Yves St.
Laurent for their leatherwear and accessories. We are very proud of the high
quality Italian and French leathers we use in our manufacturing, and believe
you will be impressed with the look and feel of your new boots as well as the
custom fit.
Q: I want to surprise my partner
with a pair of boots. Can you make them without her exact foot and leg
measurements?
Although we prefer to have the measurements, we have on
occasion made boots for clients without them. At the very least, we obviously
need to know the person's regular shoe size. We will make boots to a "standard"
size foot and leg with the shaft length and options you specify, but it is
impossible to guarantee your satisfaction with the fit without
measurements.
Q: I love my GlamourBoots and want
to order another pair. Do you need my measurements again?
A: As a rule, no. GlamourBoots keep records of your
previous purchases to avoid having to make a new pattern with each order.
Generally we only need measurements again when you want a different fit or
changes to the existing pattern
such as if you gain or lose weight, or
would like a shorter or taller shaft length.
Q: How sturdy are your
boots?
A: As beautiful and delicate as our boots often appear,
make no mistake they are designed and built to be worn on the street as you
would any other fine footwear. The same durable all-leather construction goes
into the entire GlamourBoots range of styles, from Western Boots to Bedroom
Boots!
Q: I saw a style I like with a
zipper, but I want a pull-on boot. Can you help?
A: Absolutely. In addition to shaft length, you also
specify leg circumferences including naturally, ankle and calf when you order.
In some cases, we have to insert a small zipper at the ankle area depending on
heel height, but even these can be made with the full ankle or straight shaft
appearance, often called "riding cut" boots.
Q: How long will my order take to
arrive?
A: The current approximate wait from time of order to
delivery of boots will be 7 to 8 weeks.
